Main bearing for 5MW offshore wind turbine delivered to customer

On May 22, 2021, Huaneng haizhuang H171-5MW unit, the first domestic 5MW offshore wind turbine developed by China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., was successfully put off the production line. The localization rate of the first class components of the unit reached 100%, and the localization rate of the whole unit exceeded 95%. For the first time, the core and key components of offshore wind turbines are made in China, which represents the highest technical level of domestic offshore wind turbines at present. It indicates that China has mastered the research and development technology of all key components of large offshore wind turbines, and has the manufacturing capacity of the whole industrial chain, filling the gap in China.
 
The main bearing of the generator is like the joint of the wind turbine, transmitting the power generated by the blades to the generator, which is crucial for the reliable power generation of the wind turbine. It was previously monopolized by foreign manufacturers, which restricted the rapid development of megawatt offshore wind turbines. Luoyang Xinqianglian slewing Bearing Co., Ltd. provided triple-row of cylindrical roller main bearings independently developed for the domestic offshore wind turbine, which broke the long-term dependence on foreign imports for the main bearings of large megawatt offshore wind power and promoted the localization process of the main bearings of generators in the great era of offshore wind power.
 
The outer diameter of the main bearing manufactured reaches 3.2 meters, which is the most difficult to design and manufacture for domestic wind power main bearing. Design, processing, heat treatment and material properties are great tests for LYXQL. The project team of the company cooperates closely with relevant units to overcome difficulties and finally successfully deliver the main bearing to users.
